CFCNET MAGAZINE ISSUE 1 thumbnail

My involvement with CFCnet dates to a little before Roman arrived, and things haven’t changed that much for the site. When I arrived, it was basically powered by Peter and bags of enthusiasm, and it’s exactly the same today. The magazine was his vision, so if you’re reading this then it’s worked. We hope you’ll keep on supporting it.

In this month’s launch issue, we have Dan Murphy dragging himself out of bed to ask for a little respect, Kelvin Barker reminding us of some glorious past Chelsea victories the gory photographic details of the CFCnet - BAWA match at Cobham this summer.

There’s also a piece from Sean Graham about some Northerner, and Dan Davies’ ongoing campaign to uncover every piece of Chelsea history known to man. And, because we had some extra space left over, I chipped in with a look back to Sam Dalla Bona. The Ipswich goal is only mentioned once, honest.

At a strange time for the club, when all of us want to celebrate being a Chelsea fan and enjoy the great football and outstanding players, there has been lots to read in the newspapers and, perhaps, not enough of it has been about football.

This magazine is and will be just about the football.

Here’s hoping that this season sees us lift yet another League title, and that we can have a decent tilt at the European prize that still eludes us.
