ESSIEN DOES IT AGAIN thumbnail

Chelsea beat Everton 1-0 at Goodison this evening to close the gap on United, with Michael Essien again netting for the blues, and the final ten minutes again being a nervous time for watching supporters.

This time however, there was no late equaliser from our opponents as Chelsea closed the gap on United in the race for the Premier League.

Chelsea (4-3-3): Cech, Ferreira, Carvalho, Terry (c), A Cole; Wright-Phillips (Makelele 80), Mikel, Essien; J Cole (Malouda 76), Anelka, Kalou.
