It’s been a heck of a ride this season with so much expected, and unexpected, presenting itself in the course of our boys battles for 07/08. Whatever happens in the final sprint for the Premiership, we’ve a date with Manchester United in Moscow in the Champions League Final where hopefully we can make history, and win the Champions League for the first time.
Say what you like about the manager or the players, the simple fact is that they have all had some part to play in getting us this far, and they will all play their part come 21st May, as they look to banish the pain of seasons’ past and bring home ol’ big ears for Roman and the supporters.
The luck has been with us this year, everything in this competition has gone our way, decisions, the luck of the draw, fortuitous goals - everything that’s abandoned us in years past. Our players are fresher than United’s, with many of our bigger players having missed parts of the season.
We’ve shown that we can beat any team on our day and after defeating them recently; United are not as invincible as they once looked. We’ve also got a fully fit and in mostly form squad to chose from whereas United are losing more players each game. It’s all coming together for us at the right time.
So to remind you of our glories during our mission to Moscow, our resident Quentin Tarantino; Carefree Chris - has been slaving away over another of his creations, this time reviewing our arduous journey and the challenges we faced in our European battles this season.
We think it’s a cracker, and hope you do too. Champions League? We’re ‘avin a laugh!
