		<description>Also interesting to note that when Chelsea won their first European match in Sept 1958, Liverpool were still in the Second Division. Liverpool didn&#039;t manage their first European game until 1964. Chelsea also won their first European trophy (the highly regarded Cup Winners Cup) in 1971, whereas Liverpool had to wait until 1973 (and even then they only got the decidedly third rate Inter City Fairs Cup). 

Seems to me that if you grew up in the 1980&#039;s Liverpool were the equivalent of Man U today. Nothing attracts like success and LFC were incredibly successful during that time. Coincidentally this was also the period of Chelsea&#039;s greatest decline so it&#039;s not surprising that 80&#039;s kids think the club has no history. Anyway, I&#039;d still rather be winning than reminiscing.</description>
