Chelsea progressed to the FA Cup semi-final with a well deserved win against Coventry City. Drogba opened the scoring in the first half and Alex put paid to any hopes the Coventry fans had of an upset.
The game also marked the return of Essien who came on in the second half for Mikel. Carvalho was an unused substitute which means he must be close to match fitness.
