		<description>Have you thought of checking flights to Rome Via another European destination (one that has regular flights to Rome) - I know you will end up having to take two flights just to get to Rome but it may still work out cheaper (if there are even any flights left to Rome - as you say) but it is still a way to get there right?

You can consider places like Valencia (where EasyJet and Ryan Air have lots of cheap flights) and then a short hop to Rome?
Just a thought.
