What if Abramovich had not spent half a billion quid on you? No league titles and less in the way of cups I'd guess.

I spent last weekend wondering how we had come to a stage where Everton, a team who've won the title in living memory without dodgy oil money, who finished sixth to your third, were being afforded little prospect of victory.

The tone of reports was along the lines of those we used to afford to second division clubs who occasionaly got to a cup final. What was depressing was that they were accurate.

The nature of competitive sport is that it is competitive. Competition is deminished by four teams owning all the recources and there being little hope of anybody breaking into the monopoly without sugar daddy billionaire coming along.

Stop bloody whinging.
