looks like terry will hold the club to ransom ala lampard and drogba. pay me more and i’ll continue to kiss the badge. if terry plays any deeper he’ll need a seat in the stands. needed calvalho/alex as he has no pace, so tends not to mark. same for england. best take the money as this guy is only going downhill. need to follow the scotsman from the northwest if they think they are bigger than the club “THEY ARE GONE”.

Interesting article. Without doubt you had Champs League when RA rolled in, but our transfer policy is exactly the same as yours was back then surely? We’re bidding for players and getting quoted silly money just because of who backs us. In fact we did it to you with SWP!

I’d love us to get JT, not sure it will happen – think it might be a ruse for a pay rise on behalf of the player and his agent. That said, he must be looking at who you’ve got in so far and be scratching his head a little.

Never underestimate the power of an agent over a player, nor the player’s ego. If JT is getting cranked up by his advisors, believes he is better than what you are bringing in and doesn’t believe you’re doing enough for a player ‘of his talent’, as it were, then he could well leave.

You’ve made an error in judgment about the difference between 20 and 40 million quid. To a multimillionaire like JT, it’s probably the same as the difference between 20,000 and 40,000 quid for us mortals. Huge.

Anybody in his situation would seriously consider doubling their net worth. Wouldn’t you?

WE NEED TO KEEP JT. BUT IF HE DOES LEAVE THEN THEY NEED TO HAVE A REPLACEMENT IN PLACE. WHERE ARE THESE SO CALLED NEW SIGNINGS? ZHIKOV YES, THE OTHER TWO ARE RESERVES, WHAT ABOUT THE PLAYERS TO HELP US WIN TROPHIES LIKE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ETC
