As a 15 year old North London Blue (born right on Arsenal's doorstep in Camden), squeezed into the Clock End (and we were packed in!) for an early kick-off to see John Neal's boys cut it back in Div 1 (thank you F.L for choosing Arse away for our first game back! :) Kerry Dixon's equalizer - on the volley, past Pat Jennings & right in front of the Clock End - was & is my ALL-TIME favourite old-school memory... Happy Days. Wonderful memories. As for your comment on the lunatic hooligan fringe; they were battered at Highbury Fields. Your chaps realised that smashing windows at Div 2 grounds was a picnic compared to the tonking your chaps received. I remember that game vividly.
