Everton are Chelsea’s opponents in the late kick off on Saturday and there is a fair chance that Man Utd could drop points at Anfield in the early kick off (lost their last three games there) so gaining a result here will be very important and could see Chelsea finish the day on the same amount of points as the current league leaders Man Utd.
Chelsea will start the match as hot favourites, at the time of writing Chelsea are just 4/11 and whilst Chelsea should win the match, that price might be a bit harsh on Everton who have been largely solid this season, they were the better team against Liverpool until Jack Rodwell’s harsh sending off. The fact that Chelsea are still improving under Andre Villas-Boas suggests Chelsea should be able to see Everton off though, there is no doubt that the draw at 4/1 would be pretty disappointing whilst a loss at 10/1 would be a huge blow for Chelsea’s title hopes. OLBG have a great free bet list to take advantage of these bookmaker odds.
The good news heading into this match is that Chelsea haven’t lost at home against Everton in over fifteen years but bizarrely the last five league games between the sides have all been draws so it could be worth having a saver on the draw at 4/1 just in case Chelsea struggle to win. Chelsea have won all three home games this season but have conceded in all three of those games and both teams to score appeals as a good bet yet again for Chelsea, that outcome is available at 23/20 at the time of writing.
Everton have conceded exactly two goals in three of their last four league games (they conceded one goal at weak attackers Wigan in the other) and two goals could be Chelsea’s most likely goal haul against a decent defence, especially if David Moyes sets up his team defensively like he did against Man City. With Chelsea conceding exactly one goal in their last three matches the 2-1 scoreline looks highly likely at 8/1, that price might not last long when people realise the respective defensive stats for these two teams.
With Man Utd possibly dropping points this weekend and Chelsea looking most likely to win it could be the best time to back Chelsea for the title, the odds of 4/1 are a bit of an insult considering there is little in it at the moment and that 4/1 could be gone by Saturday night.
