We’ve got some great interviews in issue 5. Firstly with Ron Harris and Kerry Dixon. Both absolute Chelsea Legends and good friends of CFCnet. I‘ve met both a few times recently and they are as passionate about Chelsea as you and I. Secondly, I got to meet Madness after a recent gig where drummer Daniel “Woody” Woodgate kindly agreed to answer questions set by our web site’s visitors. Part one is in this very same magazine. Of course this issue carries talk about the departure of Mr Mourinho and we touch on the ground development/departure subject too. We hear there’s to be an official announcement about the stadium plans soon – possibly by the time you read this. It’s bound to be a controversial decision and one that will be a hot topic in our online forum.

Here’s the full run down of the content.

Jerusalem Calling – Jez Walters talks to a respected Israeli football journalist who has a particularly eerie premonition.

Blue Revolution -Toby Brown was invited to the premier of the Blue Revolution and gives us his expert opinion.

Mourinho: Good Buys and Good Byes – Daniel Rankine examines Jose’s transfer acquisitions.

Just Supposing – What would have happened to Chelsea if Roman hadn’t dug deep? Mark Worrall reveals all.

Alternative Opinion – Rowan Farnham-Long asks fans of other clubs for their opinions of Chelsea FC.

Leaving Stamford Bridge – With the announcement of a possible ground move soon. Marc Beyeler looks at some reasons why we should look at leaving the Bridge.

There’s only one Kerry Dixon – Toby Brown and King Kerry have a brief chat about blue related topics.

Ten Malta Teasers – Richard Micallef is a resident of Malta but a regular attendee at Stamford Bridge. Richards tells us his favourite ever 10 games.

Back in the Day – An extract from Kelvin Barker’s book which looks back at the Christmas fixtures in 1988/89.

Five Christmas Crackers – Kelvin remembers some classic Chelsea action over the Christmas period.

Image Makeover – Why are Chelsea condemned, simply for learning how to win? Eddie Sharp tells us.

Have a word with… Ron Harris – Part two of our exclusive interview with Ron.

All change yet again (But nothing changes at Chelsea) – Kelvin Barker’s in depth look at other managerial departures.

Philip Rolfe keeps us up to date with the youth and reserve teams.

Fast Fall from Grace – Marc Beyeler looks at Jose’s departure.

The Morality of Supporting other Teams – Is supporting another team apart from Chelsea a major crime? Mark Daniell tells us that it’s not that uncommon. Is it?

We’ve got no History! – Dan Davies looks at some of Jose’s predecessors.

It must be Love! – Woody from Madness answers your questions.

Ca Change – Rob Hobson looks at Chelsea’s attacking options.

Club Shed – Jerry Kendik pushes on with the Return to the Shed campaign.

Shaun Wright Phillips – Give him a Break! – Grahame Fendle tells us that Shaun has made the right move.

As our regular visitors to the CFCnet website will know, CFCnet is not funded by any large corporate enterprise such as the Vital or Rivals networks. We are totally independent, unofficial and we truly appreciate your purchase of the magazine. Collectively CFCnet is a hobby for a group of individuals. All of whom are Chelsea fans to the core and whom spend most of their spare time writing, editing and producing what we think is amongst the best Chelsea FC related magazine/fanzine and website around. Every penny you spend goes towards making CFCnet self sufficient.

Welcome to the fourth edition of the CFCnet magazine, and my first as the bona fide editor of this esteemed organ. We make no apologies for the distinctly 80s feel about the place, though we did manage to restrict references to the dodgy haircuts of the time to Mark Worrall’s excellent piece on terrace apparel from down the years.

Just in case you think we’ve turned into a fashion magazine, you can cast a less than wistful eye over some landmark games from the time that many forgot, with a look back at Grimsby away in 83/84 and five opening summer sizzlers from the 80s.

The summer feel continues as we cast a beady eye over the likely comings and goings in this year’s Silly Season. We round off the retro feel with a look back over last season, and offer an end-of-term assessment of the team and wonder just how
much harder they could have tried.

Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, our man with the Dictaphone – quiet at the back – Toby Brown, manages to score no less than three interviews. A brief chat with Kerry Dixon, an explanation from Jason Cundy about what really happened on the coach back from Sunderland, and the jewel in this month’s crown is no less than an interview with Chelsea’s Communications and Public Affairs Director, Simon Greenberg, offering an excellent insight into the daily running of the club. You’ll be able to settle a few arguments in the pub after reading this one.

Enjoy the summer, even if does mean taking your brolly with you everywhere. It’s going to be a sizzler.

Welcome to our third CFCnet mag: the publication that does for Chelsea what salt and vinegar does for chips. We’ve been slaving away over what we think is our finest issue ever, and at the risk of giving away the big news right at the beginning of the editorial, we lead with yet another exclusive chat.

This time to a bona fide Chelsea legend: the great Ron Harris. If that’s not enough for you – worth the cover price alone, we think – then there are plenty of other bits and bobs from our regular wordsmiths. Old boy Marc Beyeler compares Essien and Drogba. Both contenders for Player of the Season award.

Toby met up with Chelsea TV’s Neil Barnett and we’ve got in-depth looks at Carlo Cudicini and the Chelsea playing years of the mighty Ruud Gullit.

Jerry Kendik champions the Return to the Shed Campaign and Jez Walters ask the booboys to lay off. Our commitment to digging out the very best in Chelsea literature goes on, with extracts from Kelvin Barker’s Celery! – Representing Chelsea in the 80s and Mark Worrall’s Blue Murder.

And then we’ve got the usual rants: Dan gives them hell on the history front, and Peter shows off the size of his camera in his pictorial review of the last 3 months. He’s also available for weddings and bar mitzvahs.

Enjoy the mag, tell you friends, and KTBFFH.

Issue 3 – Contents:

Return to the Shed End Jerry Kendik picks up the gauntlet on behalf of CFCnet in an effort to get the atmosphere back into the infamous Shed End.

My Name is Barnett… Neil Barnett Toby Brown catches up with the original Spy in the Camp, Neil Barnett.

A Spiritual Return Grahame Fendle returns a favour in this popular extract from the pilot edition.

What’s your game? Mark Daniell says football is the popular sport on the planet and lets us into a little secret. Would we be fools to believe him?

Welcome to the second edition of the CFCnet magazine, the only football mag in the world produced through a combination of blind enthusiasm and sheer terror. This time round, we’re proud to bring you the interviews edition, with two bona fide legends to show you.

First up is Bobby Moore-beating, Real Madrid-conquering, all round top guy Charlie Cooke. Second is one of the few men in the history of the game whose position on the park will always be judged by the standards he set: Claude “the Knife” Makelele. Kudos to Toby for keeping his awe in check as he meets these two titans of the game.

We’ve also got the next instalment of our Old Bill special, with further revelations of how the games were policed back in the good/bad old days. We’ve got Dan Davies on a little more Chelsea history, and an extract from Kelvin Barker’s brilliant book where we look back at a classic Chelsea – Gooner match.

Mark Daniell brings his insight from the site over to the mag for the first time in View From The Bridge. And there’s also 60% more pictures than the previous edition, as we’ve just bought a camera, so you’ll get a review of the season so far in glorious technicolour photo. And lots of other stuff too.

We’d also like to thank everyone who’s supported the mag for us over the last couple of months, and send a plea out to our loyal and existing readers. The mag has been a bit of a learning curve for us, and a tough one to manage after the last few years of digital chicanery.

We’d like to send a quick appeal out to everyone who’s buying the mag: please… tell your mates, tell your enemies, buy one for your girlfriend, give your boss one for Christmas. We love making the mag, but we can only carry on doing it with your help.

Have a great New Year… we’ll be back in ’07.

Issue 2 – Contents:

Exclusive Claude Makelele interview. Claude has only attended one interview with the English media this season and that was with CFCnet. That’s just one other reason why we think he is a Chelsea legend!

Exclusive Charlie Cooke interview. Another Legend was in the UK promoting his book. The Bonnie Prince – Charlie Cooke

Where are they now? Alex Thomas tells us what happened to the players who clinched a place in the Champions League in May 2003.

Media – The other game we play. Rob Hobson talks mind games.

We’ve got no history. Dan Davies reminds us about Chelsea events in the previous 101 years.

View from the Bridge. Popular web site contributor Mark Daniell writes for the magazine.

Back in the day. An extract from Kelvin Barker’s excellent book. Celery! Representing the 80s

The season so far. In pictures. – John Terry, Drogba. Shevchenko, Robben, Ballack, Jose, and Joe Cole plus more!

8ft Tall. (Part 2) Toby Brown interviews a senior police officer who policed London’s football grounds in the 70s and 80s.

Chelsea Legends. James Prescott tells us about Ruud Gullit: the manager.
