LATE LAMPARD STRIKE STUNS STOKE SUPPORT

What can I tell you about the Stoke City match today? First of all Chelsea won the game 2 – 1. I would love to tell you about the goals but in all honesty I didn’t see them.  After 87 minutes of watching Chelsea spawn chance after chance I decided Frank and boys wouldn’t score in a month of Sundays. So in an effort to get home before 10pm tonight I slung my hook a few minutes early only to hear the Shed erupt for the first as I strolled out of the Bovril exit. By the time I got to Fulham Broadway Lampard had scored the winner. Ever been over the moon and gutted at the same time?

Lampard’s late strike in the additional 4 minutes of added time  was poetic justice for the Stoke team as throughout the game they wasted time as often as they could.

Before the game Chelsea received a double whammy as it was announced that Joe Cole would be out for the rest of the season and that John Terry had been injured in the warm up. The big question though is where was Drogba?

Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa (Belletti 78), Carvalho, Alex, Ashley Cole, Lampard, Mikel (Stoch 82), Ballack, Malouda (Di Santo 60), Anelka, Kalou.
Subs Not Used: Cudicini, Ivanovic, Mancienne, Kakuta.

Goals: Belletti 88, Lampard 94.

There’s an opportunity to chat about the game in the forum.  Here’s the link; http://forums.cfcnet.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=41028
