What a beautiful game football is. Tonight I witnessed Guus and the boys burst the media generated bubble that is Liverpool FC.

A early goal by Torres had the media boys bringing out all the usual clichés associated with amazing atmospheres, the ultimate tactician and midfield generals etc etc.

Ninety minutes later and the tone of the commentators changed to half hearted praise for the team that simply nullified Liverpool’s only half decent player and scored 3 goals in the process.

A goal from Branislav Ivanovic either side of half time and another from Didier Drogba on 62 minutes sealed the win and silenced the commentary team.

OK, so Chelsea are not home and dry yet and John Terry will miss the game due to a booking but let’s savour this result for a few days at least.
