So, England are making more trouble for themselves in getting out of their group in South Africa. Wednesday will be decision day whether they qualify, or not, let’s see how they do. Today is Frank Lampard’s birthday, he’s 32. A nice present for us would be for Frank to score the winning goal against Slovenia. Happy Birthday Frank!

The Summary of a Season series continues today with firstly Florent Malouda Our French winger has gone from strength-to-strength since signing for the club. He was an integral part of our double winning season. Next up is Branislav Ivanovic Brana slotted in at right-back after José Bosingwa got injured in the early part of the season and was named in the Premier League team of the season. Last but by no means least is birthday boy Super Frankie Lampard. Frank scored a formidable 26 goals from midfield in 2009/10 and has now amassed 157 for the club in all.

With The World Cup fully under way now, France have struggled and unfortunately (Or fortunately) depending upon how you look at things Nicolas Anelka has been sent home after falling out with coach Raymond Domenech. It seems not everybody loves Raymond, after all.

Come back soon, for more on the Official Line. Remember, our first game of the season is against West Brom on August 14/15. It’ll be applause all round prior to the game as Roberto Di Matteo comes back to Stamford Bridge as manager of West Bromwich Albion.
