With just two weeks until the first pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace, we have made our first signing of the 2010/11 season. Yossi Benayoun has joined Chelsea from Liverpool and will be ready to start pre-season training on Monday. Benayoun is the first signing of the Summer and we hope, he will not be the last. After joining from Liverpool, Benayoun explained that he was ready for the challenge. A profile of Yossi Benayoun can be read by clicking on the players name.

The former Liverpool midfielder spoke to the Official Chelsea Website about signing for the club – you can read his comments Here. Let’s hope that Benayoun gets off to a great start in the Blue of Chelsea. Carlo Ancelotti also gives his views about our new midfielder and you can read his views by clicking Here.

During the Summer, Chelsea have given eight youth players professional contracts. The lucky young players are: James Ashton, Billy Clifford, Aziz Deen-Conteh, Rohan Ince, Milan Lalkovic, Josh McEachran, Philipp Prosenik and George Saville. Here at CFCnet, we wish them all the luck for the future, let’s hope it’s a start of a whole new-blue era.
