Chelsea Football Club today announced that Michael Emenalo will be taking over as Assistant First Team Coach replacing the departed Ray Wilkins after his sacking by the club.

Emenalo, 42,  moves up from his previous position as Head Opposition Scout and will continue in his duties whilst he adjusts to his new role.

A former Nigerian international as a player, Emenalo arrived at Stamford Bridge in October 2007 after a playing career that took in spells in Belgium,  U.S.A, Spain and notably Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.
