With the Nation’s thoughts turning to those who have sacrificed their lives in defence of Crown and Country, those involved in displaying the banners at Stamford Bridge have kindly asked supporters attending the game on Sunday to refrain from showing their usual colours and flags.

As was the case last year, the focus will be on two banners dedicated to those who lost their lives in serving Britain in times of conflict with those serving in Afghanistan and Northern Ireland at the fore of many people’s thoughts. These will be displayed at the Matthew Harding and Shed End.

We appreciate and anticipate your help in this matter.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

Kind Regards
The Bannerman
