Fernando Torres will open his scoring account for the English Champions on Wednesday night against the suspect defence of the travelling Danes. In the first leg the Danish Champions defended deeply, giving Anelka space to run at them and eventually score a brace to put Chelsea, firmly, in the driving seat. They say there is no such thing as an easy match, in the Champions League, but this is about as dead a ‘rubber’ as we will ever get.

The reason I am convinced that Torres will score is because the Danish side must come out and attack. Therefore they will play with a high defensive line and Torres will play on the shoulder of the last defender. He will have too much pace for the visitors and could notch up more than one.

Carlo has already stated that he will make changes ahead of the massive game at the weekend. I expect Chelsea to line up as follows;  Cech behind Zirchov, Terry, Ivanovic and Ferreira, a midfield four of Mikel, Malouda, Lampard and Ramires with Anelka and Torres up front.

I expect a very comfortable 3-0 win for the Blues, continuing their recent run of good form, with super ‘Josh’ impressing in the second half.

Chelsea are returning to full strength, at just the right time, with Alex expected to play a part against Man City at the weekend and Benayoun also returning to training.

So, another successful step towards Wembley in May. Maybe, just maybe, we are timing our late run, for glory, exactly right and will peak when it really matters. My prediction for the Champions League; Chelsea will meet Bayern Munich in the ‘quarters’, Man Utd in the last four and will beat Real Madrid in the final!!!!

Bring it on!
