As we reported just a couple of days back, Chelsea have started negotiating a deal for Lens play maker, Thorgan Hazard, who is the brother of Eden. Thorgan has been described as being a better player than Eden, by Eden himself! And it looks as if Chelsea have spotted his potential too as they make a move for the 19-year-old. We have no idea of just how much yet, but it is said to be a good deal for Chelsea.
Talksport have confirmed today that Chelsea have contacted Lens regarding Hazard. Lens sporting director Antoine Sibierski admits the player has been interested by the thought of moving to Chelsea and has recently rejected a new contract from Lens because of this interest.
He went on to say ”Last week I met with him (Thorgan Hazard) to try to negotiate a two or three-year contract, but he totally rejected it,” said Sibierski. I did not expect this reaction because the boy has only been with us for a year. I understand that with the interest of Chelsea, this has changed his entire future. We are talking between clubs and I guess there is no problem to reach a solution.”
So Thorgan looks set to join brother Eden at Stamford Bridge. The last brothers that played together at Chelsea were Ray and Graham Wilkins. The Hazard’s set to make history.
