There have been various un-confirmed sources stating this morning that Chelsea have made a £9 million bid for Spanish right back, Cesar Azpilicueta, and have also bid the same amount for Wigan’s Victor Moses.

However, these have not been officially confirmed as of yet, but are looking very likely to happen. The £9 million bid for Moses will fall short of owner Dave Whelan’s £10 million valuation for the player, but once add-ons are included, he will more than likely accept the offer.

As for Marseille, they want to keep hold of Cesar, even though he has stated he wants to move, and is ‘flattered’ by the interest of the Eurpoean Champions. There are other clubs interested too, but the player will most likely join Chelsea knowing that they need a right back. The 22-year old Spanish international is the most popular choice amongst supporters for the right back slot, and I believe Chelsea will move in officially by the end of the week.

As for Moses, I feel his versatility to be able to play on the wing, as an attacking midfielder or as a striker, is what makes him so appealing to the Chelsea staff, and with the likes of other targets, Hulk, Edinson Cavani and Robert Lewandowski being over-priced, it looks as if Moses might just get the nod. Although please believe, we are still very much in the hunt of Hulk and Cavani.
