This morning brings us fresh reports that Chelsea are still very much in the hunt for Brazilian winger Hulk, who is currently in London competing in the Olympics. Hulk has stated all along that he would like to concentrate on the Olympics and decide his future afterwards, claiming that he leaves that business to his agent, who has undoubtably been working on a solution to get Hulk his desired move to chelsea.

Hulk has been a diplomat throughout, preferring not to talk about speculations. But in the mean time, Chelsea, his club, his agent, and the third party who own him, have all been attempting to sort out some kind of deal for one of the hottest properties in the world.

The Guardian have once again re-iterated this morning that ‘Chelsea still want Hulk, despite complications over the payment that would be owed to his third party owners’. They had preciously reported back in May that Chelsea had a bid accepted by Porto for £38 million for Hulk, I no longer feel that Porto are putting up a fight and would be willing to release him for that fee, but there are issues that are unclear regarding Hulk’s third party owner.

It’s a very complicated situation that Chelsea officials are clearly working hard to resolve, and make their main summer target, a Chelsea player before the transfer window ends. This one is sure to go down to the wire, another deadline day drama I believe.
