Chelsea U21 3:0 Fulham U21
The U21 squad had a tough start to life in the new league and lost a handful to loans last week but the performances have been improving in recent weeks and this was no exception.
Fulham were completely bamboozled in the first-half with Islam Feruz and Billy Clifford missing the best chances of a completely one-sided first fifteen minutes.
Nathan Ake did the deed that put us ahead when he burst from midfield to curl a belter from the edge of the area. Feruz nipped in for the second and Adam Phillip completed the scoring in the first half.
Midfielders Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard both made the Fifa World XI short-list joining Petr Cech, John Terry, David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic who all made the defenders list. Ramires will be delighted for all of them.

Bruce buck has been up at St George’s Park holding talks with Clattenburg and the rest of the referees. A joint statement saying it was all a regrettable mistake followed. With Chelsea saying they regretted the way the incident was publicised and the referees saying they thought that was an apology.
All a misunderstanding unless you are John Obi Mikel who still faces a charge for confronting Clattenburg. The message from the FA could not be clearer: the punishment for reporting a racist remark is a three-match ban.
Meanwhile Benitez continued his foot-in-mouth regime by saying that he doesn’t know if Torres can recapture the form he showed at Liverpool. We really expect managers to support their star striker – in public at least.

Wednesday 29 November
Chelsea 0:0 Fulham
This has got to stop soon. Like a dreamer trapped in a nightmare we expect to wake up and find Di Matteo manager of the club but every morning Rafael Benitez’s self deluding mug stares back at us from the dugout.
Today he triumphed in being negative. Again. Let’s just remind ourselves how well his Liverpool teams challenged for the title, er there was a season back when Fernando Torres played as a striker rather than a rabbit caught on full-beam and, um, that’s it.
The long and short of the match was that Fulham sat deep and waited to break and we left out Mata and couldn’t break them down. We failed to seriously test the opposition goalkeeper for the second time in four days and they had the two best chances to score. Is it really working? Is this what Roman Abramovich wanted? 38 points from 38 stale nil-nil draws?
More pulse-racing than a Benitez defensive plan is news that we have an official hotel partner in Azimut hotels. No we hadn’t either but we hope they have a wide spread around Europe as Rafael leads us into the Uefa League.

Luiz Felipe Scolari has been reappointed Brazil boss until the World Cup on home soil in 2014. Our old gaffer has been with middling Brazilian teams for the last few seasons.

Saturday 1 December
West Ham United 3:1 Chelsea
We should have put this match to bed a long time before the late Hammers surge saw our defence splintered and Rafael Benitez’s little plan unravelling.
It doesn’t help when every thing conspires against you even the BBC. Match of the Day has long been run by thoughtless berks. They sit and smugly reproduce the same banter every week, they can’t touch any sensitive subjects and the react to suggestions from the viewers with scorn bordering on contempt: probably because we little, common people would not understand how to keep three millionaires in increasingly absurd shirts, blathering away without the slightest reflection or introspection.
Tonight they highlighted the tackling of Mohammed Diamé first they showed him jumping two footed through Obi John. He got a slight touch on the ball after going through the Chelsea player. Martin Atkinson looked the other way. MoTD then congratulated Diamé for a second tackle this time a two-footed lunge through Juan Mata again he got a slight touch of the ball but was two feet off the ground through the player. The ref looked the other way.
It seems that Chelsea players get straight red cards for the slightest touch of an opponent while Match of the Day actually applauds dangerous tackling of our opponents.
Sadly those predicting, or possibly asking for, Benitez to be sacked in the morning do not know how stubborn Abramovich can be. This is his mistake and he is going to stick with it.

Colchester United U18 2:3 Chelsea U18
The first round of the FA Youth Cup seems to be earlier and earlier but the holders made a sure-footed start to the new campaign establishing a 3-1 lead by half-time with goals from Islam Feruz and Lewis Baker

Sunday 2 December
The draw for the third round of the FA Cup takes us to the coast and St Mary’s to play Southampton.
