Chelsea visit League Two side Shrewsbury this evening and will seek to avoid an upset against a team that are in-form and full of confidence.

The Blues are still unbeaten in all competitions this season yet our 2-1 victory against Bolton Wanderers in the last round was arguably our weakest performance of the season. Shrewsbury Town, however, will no doubt be up for the tie and go into the match on the back of four straight wins leaving them just three points off the top of the Sky Bet League Two table. Their journey to face Chelsea has seen them eliminate Blackpool, Leicester and Norwich and you can bet that Mourinho will not be taking this fixture lightly.

We can expect a much changed Chelsea side this evening with the likes of Hazard, Fabregas, Terry and Courtois likely to be rested, providing the likes of Salah, Ake, Zouma and potentially Baker with opportunities to impress the coach. Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic are both suspended so it should be interesting to see who is selected as our right back. Diego Costa should be rested and Loic Remy is out for at least another week with a groin injury. On the bright side we may see Ramires return after a month and a half’s lay off.

The League Cup was the first trophy that Jose Mourinho won in his first reign and you can expect that he will have told his players that he wants to win it again. Hopefully we see some fringe players come in, perform brightly and give Mourinho something to think about in other competitions.

UP THE CHELS!!!
