Ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League matchup against Paris Saint Germain, reports are circulating that Chelsea are showing an interest in bringing PSG’s defender Marquinhos to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Manchester United are thought to have already inquired about the Brazilian centre back but it looks that The Blues may look to rival that move.
Marquinhos signed for PSG in 2013 for around £27 million and it is thought that a fee of around £40 million might be enough to prize him away from France.
The 20-year-old is already highly rated in the footballing world and has made 4 senior international appearances. Chelsea see him as a potential long term replacement for captain John Terry, who is playing it year by year currently.
Certainly one to keep an eye on.
