According to The Daily Express, Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho is looking to raid Real Madrid’s talented squad this summer in the shape of Gareth Bale and Raphael Varane.

It was recently revealed that Mourinho will be handed a large transfer budget this summer after crashing out of the Champions League prematurely. Along with that, he is expected to be selling players and gathering some decent funds as well. With this in mind, Chelsea are showing interest in a number of class players.

Gareth Bale is growing unsettled in Spain and is struggling to be accepted by the Madrid faithful, causing rumours of a departure back to England this summer. Chelsea would certainly look to move if the player becomes available having been on the lookout for another winger to match the class of Eden Hazard.

Meanwhile defender Varane is one of the best young players around and is seen as the long term replacement for Chelsea captain John Terry. The French International is showing signs of becoming one of the worlds best and is certainly someone who Mourinho admires.

There is interest from other clubs and any decisions could be swayed by where Chelsea finish this season and if they can add further honours, but whatever happens these two players will need big money offers to be touted away from Spain.
