With the week almost reaching Wednesday already, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours surrounding the club as the summer transfer window approaches at speed. Manager Jose Mourinho has a number of options he is considering as well as players he might be offloading.
First up, according to reports, Chelsea are ‘in talks’ with the agent of Palermo striker Paulo Dybala. This is not the first time he has been mentioned with Chelsea during the last few months and it is the reputable source of Sky Italia (Italian equivalent of Sky Sports) who are reporting this update.
Dybala is a highly rated forward who is attracting interest from many of Europe’s top clubs including Arsenal, but it is Chelsea who lead the way according to the players agent on Tuesday. The 21-year-old forward is highly thought of in his home town, drawing comparisons to Sergio Aguero.
Meanwhile the rumours surrounding Chelsea’s interest in Radamel Falcao seem to be gathering even more pace early this week as The Telegraph join a number of press outlets confirming that Jose Mourinho is looking at making a move for the striker, after he failed to make the cut at Manchester United this season. Falcao has always been admired by Mourinho and the Portuguese man still feels the player has a lot to offer.
There have been a number of rumours surrounding players potentially leaving the Bridge this summer after failing to enjoy decent seasons and the latest of those is midfielder Oscar, who is apparently wanted by Juventus and could well be used as the make weight for any deal for Paul Pogba, who is very much wanted by Chelsea.
Another player who is attracting attention from overseas is defender Branislav Ivanovic. The big Serbian right back has been pinnacle for Chelsea over the last few seasons but slip ups at the back and his age could well see Chelsea listening to any offers for him, with Bayern Munich leading the chase.
