Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho will often talk publicly regarding players and transfer plans, often this can be used as a ploy in negotiations and throwing clubs of the scent.

Having already said that he is happy with the current squad, he has recently now been talking about the prospect of bringing new players in this summer.

Mourinho said: “I know that our rivals are not going to accept this title and they are going to fight and there are three or four teams that will be aiming for us and we have to be better – me, the players and our squad. Maybe they need some fresh blood to keep them under pressure”.

With Didier Drogba and Petr Cech definitely leaving, there will be two replacements needed right away. Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is the latest string of keepers to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge and their will certainly be a strong need to add competition up top to compete with Diego Costa. Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid still looks the most likely to come in up top and the player really wants the move.

As well as that, their is more talk that Mourinho has not been impressed with winger Juan Cuadrado and he could be seeing the exit already, with reports that Barcelona are interested in a £24 million offer.

One player who he seems to want to keep and show faith in though is Brazilian midfielder Oscar. Another low par season from him has raised doubts over his future and Juventus are interesed in paying the money to take him away. I still feel that this could go over Mourinho’s head should owner Roman Abramovich want to raise funds for a big name such as Raheem Sterling, Gareth Bale or Theo Walcott.
