Good evening and welcome to Thursdays transfer news update from CFCnet as we take a look at the latest potential arrivals and departures at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Firs up, the club have finally confirmed what we all knew today and announced the arrival of Brazilian whizz kid Nathan De Souza from Atletico Paranense. The fee is said to be £4.5million and the player himself is ecstatic with the move.

It’s an excellent coup from Chelsea as they beat off interest from other top european clubs including Manchester City. The Brazilian youth international is highly rated in world football and there is even talk that he may well stay at Chelsea next season as apposed to being shipped out on loan, with pundits claiming he is already developed. He will be given the full pre-season to prove his point at Chelsea.

Next up, Arsenal are attempting to move in on Chelsea target Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. The player himself and his agent both seem keen on the move to Stamford Bridge with recent comments suggesting this but it is thought that Arsene Wenger is looking to give the player a different option and move in with an offer as well.

Finally, young Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford has reportedly been offered a new five year deal at the club in an attempt to beat off potential interest in the England Under-21 international.

For me, this is excellent news, this is a young English player with bags of potential and if it was me I’d be loaning him in the Premier League this season and then moving him in to the Chelsea first team, he has the potential to be something major here and the club seem to see that as well.
