Good evening Blues and welcome to Thursday’s transfer news update from CFCnet, where we bring you the latest possible arrivals and departures at Stamford Bridge this summer.

It’s been a busy one today among various sources and press outlets with the biggest news perhaps being that Sky Sports have confirmed that midfielder Oscar will not be going anywhere this summer. Sky say that sources close to the player have said that there have been no talks with Juventus and that the Brazil International is happy at Chelsea.

This could well squash any more rumours of Paul Pogba coming to Chelsea, unless owner Roman Abramovich is willing to splash out the huge fee’s being quoted for his services. I could see the deal happening if Oscar was going in the other direction as the fee’s could be cut, but it will be very unlikely that Chelsea will enter the bidding for the midfielder now.

Meanwhile, it appears that Petr Cech’s move to Arsenal is inevitable and there is talks that a £14 million fee has been agreed between the two clubs. This will mean that Chelsea will need to replace their number two keeper and the likelihood there is that it will be QPR player and former England International Robert Green. There are not many keepers willing to play second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois but Green being at the latter end of his career with a chance to bounce straight back in to the Premier League, this move could tempt him.

Next up, how many times have we heard about the ‘new Messi’ or the ‘new Ronaldo’? Well, it’s back and apparently Chelsea are interested in signing him. The Blues are lining up a move to sign 18-year-old Andrija Zivkovic, who is dubbed as a wonder kid and the next Lionel Messi.

Serbian Zivkovic is already making waves and the winger made his international debut against Japan in October 2013 aged just 17, becoming the youngest player to make a senior appearance for Serbia. Just five months later, Zivkovic became Partizan Belgrade’s youngest captain of all-time at at 17 years, 7 months and 18 days.He is certainly highly rated.

Finally, a move that we have spoken about recently seems to have some solid pace gathering behind it once again and may well go through. Toby Alderweireld may well be on his way to Chelsea, with defender Filipe Luis going in the other direction, back to Atletico Madrid.

A move that would appear to make sense for both parties as Luis does not have the confidence of his current Manager Jose Mourinho. Whilst Alderweireld wants to stay in the Premier League after a successful spell on loan with Southampton. The Belgian International is versatile and can play anywhere across the back, making him a good option to add squad depth at Stamford Bridge.
