Good evening Blues fans and welcome once again to CFCnet’s transfer news update, where we take a gander at the latest potential arrivals and departures at Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.

Well, I said yesterday that there was more chance of Eden Hazard joining Macclesfiled this window than there is Diego Costa leaving Chelsea in the summer. Thankfully, although not surprisingly I will not be eating my words as the fans favourite has confirmed that he is happy at Chelsea to squash any further silly rumours this term.
Although Costa did confirm of some struggles adapting to life in England, naturally, he did go on to state that he has no reason to leave and that he loves this place and it’s fans. Excellent news DieGOAL!
Meanwhile, some more big news (please note my sarcasm) is that Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko has confirmed that Chelsea and Jose Mourinho are ‘monitoring his progress’. He went on to say that he would love to work with Mourinho.
I wouldn’t look too much in to this as it was only recently that the 25-year-old was stating that Arsenal were interested in attaining his services and that the Gunners were the club that were closest to his heart. Imagine that, a player of Sissoko’s caliber flirting with England’s top clubs! Who knows though, stranger things have happened.
According to some reports today, Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is wanted by Monaco. The £15 million rated midfielder is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge this season and has barely featured albeit as a bit part player. Interestingly with Chelsea seeking to confirm a deal with Monaco for striker Radamel Falcao, we may well see some kind of part exchange deal here with Mikel going the other way.
Finally, staying with part exchanges, Chelsea could well be continuing their raid on Atletico Madrid by offering full back Filipe Luis for the services of defender Toby Alderweireld, who enjoyed a successful spell in the premier league last term on loan with Southampton.
The young Belgian International defender wants to keep playing in the premier league and may well be keen on linking up with fellow country team mate Eden Hazard, although Southampton are still attempting to land him on a permanent deal. He is said to be available for around £7 million and could well be linked in with the deal for Antoine Griezmann, should that go ahead. The appeal is the fact he can play anywhere across the back line, being excellent cover and backup to the defence.
