Good morning blues fans and welcome to CFCnet’s Tuesday transfer news update, where we gather up all the latest potential arrivals and departures at Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.

First up, according to the majority of British press links, claims are being made that Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ‘in talks’ with Chelsea over a potential move to Stamford Bridge. The Swedish International is out of contract and considering his future.

The report that originated in Italy from a strong source has gathered pace and the claims are that Zlatan’s agent has met with Chelsea representatives in Berlin, but the player wants a contract worth £7 million.

I feel this could be a good option especially on a free transfer and as a back up. He has the talent to be able to do a great job in vast positions and will be a great asset. Of course he is ageing now, but he still has the talent to be a more than useful tool to pop up with some vital goals and assists as back up to Diego Costa and potentially Radamel Falcao, or Gonzalo Higuain..??

Which brings me to my next subject, the Argentine himself. Reports surfaced last week that the Blues were readying a £30 million offer for the Napoli forward and this has since grown and come up again this week, meaning their could well potentially be more to it than just a slow news day rumour…

Although, in a contradicting article, The Express are claiming that Manchester United have in fact agreed a deal with Napoli for Higuain. I’m still of the thinking that Chelsea are NOT making a move for the sought after striker and this has simply just resurfaced as a rumour.

Next up, reports from Brazil are suggesting that Chelsea are to make a move for attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca, a player who they have been scouting this season and have had previous interest in. The tall Brazilian youngster has had a successful season as a regular at Benfica, scoring 9 goals and the scouting missions have been successful.

The 21-year old apparently has a £35 million release clause in his contract and with Chelsea having done many deals with the Portuguese club previously, there could be negotiations on offer here with good relations between the clubs.

He’s certainly a great player with a bag full of natural talent and he is versatile, he plays anywhere in midfielder or across the attacking three, areas we can indeed use some reinforcements.

Finally, full back Filipe Luis has confirmed that he will NOT be rejoining Atletico Madrid and is happy at Chelsea. Juan Cuadrado has apparent interest from Inter Milan and Petr Cech will be making his decision soon and is eyeing the possibility of moving to another premier league club.
