Good evening Blues and welcome to Tuesday’s transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer.

First of all, as expected Filipe Luis has returned to Atletico Madrid after only one season at Chelsea. £16 million is the apparent fee, £4 million less than the Blues paid for him. Struggled to make an impact and managed very few starts, Luis was always going to leave this summer.

So with that in mind, Chelsea are in need of a left back and it seems pretty adamant that it is going to be Galatasaray full back Alex Telles. Thus squashing rumours surrounding the arrival of Baba Rahman.

Reputable and reliable source Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Chelsea are close to signing the speedy Brazilian.

Real Madrid are said to be interested in the 22-year old as well who is rated as one of the best left back’s in the world right now. It would certainly be an exciting coup for Chelsea if this does go through.

Finally, Chelsea are confident of signing John Stones from Everton this transfer window, according to ESPN.

Once again, this surfacing from a decent and reputable source so we must take notice. The rumours are that Chelsea are about to offer £26 million for the 21-year old England International and Everton could be tempted.

If these two deals go through and it would not surprise me judging by the sources, then Chelsea have two exciting and young defenders joining the club that will inject fresh pace and class at the back to go with the old guard. It will certainly be a real success should these go through and excellent long term investments.

That’s it for now Blues but remember to follow my Twitter here for the latest Chelsea news @cfcneteditor
