Good evening Blues and welcome to Wednesday’s transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the potential arrivals, departures and done deals and Stamford Bridge this summer.

First up, it appears that Mohammed Salah is about to join Serie A side Roma, in a permanent deal worth around £20 million. The reports have circulated from reputable sources in Italy and could well go through. Salah does not feature in the plans of Jose Mourinho immediately and will seek opportunities elsewhere.

Napoli are also interested and considering making an offer for the Egyptian International.

Meanwhile, the John Stones saga increases in pace as Chelsea are apparently wading in with the offers, which is up around £26 million right now. It appears that Mourinho is prepared to pay what it takes to land the player, who is interested in the move.

Stones has told his club in private today that he is interested in the Chelsea offer in the hope to push through the deal.

Gary Cahill would welcome the move, even though it could damage his starting place, but he’s encouraged his England team mate to join and believes he will develop and fit in well at Chelsea.

Finally, according to further reports in Italy and quoted by The Metro, Chelsea are in talks with Napoli of the transfer of Jose Callejon.

Napoli are in the middle of a squad overhaul and may be willing to sell the 28-year old forward for around £10 million. This deal however, will not be part of the proposed offer for Salah.

I don’t see much in this particular rumour to be honest, especially with Loic Remy staying now.

That’s it for now Blues, but remember to follow my Twitter here for the latest Chelsea news here @cfcneteditor
