Good morning Blues and welcome to this mornings transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Well, it appears that if Chelsea are to get their two remaining transfer targets this summer – it will be with great difficulty.

Everton Manager Roberto Martinez has once again reiterated that John Stones is not for sale. Despite recent claims that Stones himself has begged the chairman to leave, this morning it is being said that the England International will NOT hand in a transfer request.

I’ve said all along that the only way this deal will go through is if the player puts in a request, but if the latest rumour is true – this will not be happening.

Despite that, football transfers are a cut throat business and many tactics are used by both parties. Everton’s firm stance could just be a way of gaining the highest amount of fee for their player and if Chelsea do go back in with a £40 million offer, it could still happen whether the player requests it or not. But with time running out, Chelsea could well be weighing up new targets from their shortlist of defenders.

Staying on the same subject of potentially being priced out of a move – Juventus are also standing firm on their stance with star midfielder Paul Pogba. Chelsea have had initial approaches rejected by the Serie A club, who are thought to only be interested if the fee nears £70 million. Chelsea are hugely unlikely to pay that.

However, Juventus are said to be in the English capital City today to negotiate a loan deal for Juan Cuadrado with a buying option at the end of the season. With their apparent interest in Ramires as well, could Chelsea be about to bring that fee down a considerable amount by including these two players? Well, anything can happen and nothing would surprise me after last week’s capture of Pedro from Barcelona.

It is still apparent that Chelsea want to add in another defender and another midfielder, so if these clubs won’t budge – their will be other options currently being explored as we speak.
