Good morning Blues and welcome to Saturday’s transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea are close to signing left back Abdul Rahman Baba from Augsburg and the player confirms he wants the move and hopes to seal the deal before the transfer window shuts, according to Sky Sports.
The players agent confirms that there is a £17 million offer on the table for the young starlet and that he is hoping the deal can be sorted soon.
There are also contradicting reports that Chelsea are also close on signing Alex Telles from Galatasaray, reported a few days back and resurfacing today.
However, with Rahman seemingly more likely now, there won’t be two left sided defenders arriving. At this point though, it is still unclear which left back is the one who will be arriving, more as we get it on this one….
Finally, Jose Callejon is still in the frame apparently and some reports are suggesting there has now been an offer from Chelsea to his club Napoli.
Chelsea need a goalscoring winger and the 28-year old certainly fits the bill here. Napoli are not keen to sell but could be interested in gaining some cash at the club.
That’s it for now Blues, but remember to follow my Twitter here for the latest Chelsea news @cfcneteditor
