Good evening Blues and welcome to Monday nights transfer news update from CFCnet, as we take a look at the latest potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer.

With 28 days left in this summers transfer window, anything can still happen and I don’t buy this ‘Chelsea give up on Stones’ rumour floating around today. I don’t think this is the last we’ll hear about this pursuit even if Roberto Martinez is stating that the player is not for sale and is part of his clubs future.

Stones himself has allegedly requested permission to talk to Chelsea, albeit not officially confirmed. But he has hardly been forthcoming in going public to squash all rumours by saying that he is staying at Everton, which would surely be the best thing to do right now if he is staying? Nope, he wants to move, that’s for sure.

Martinez obviously wants to keep the England International but surely there is only so long you can hold on to a player who does not want to be at the club? Chelsea will go in with more offers this summer and it wouldn’t surprise me if Everton did give in. But how high do you go for a player likes Stones? That all depends on whether you look on it as an investment to the future of the spine of Chelsea football club, or just look at a ridiculously high fee for a player, who IS home grown.

Meanwhile, the rumours linking Oscar to Juventus have finally ended officially. Club director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that they will not be signing the Brazilian play maker, off the back of a rumoured £25 million offer being rejected by Chelsea.

Oscar seems in the forefront of Manager Jose Mourinho’s mind and is keen to stay at Chelsea himself, but I feel this will be a make or break season for the Brazil International and he really needs to step up and become a vital player for the club this year.

Finally, Augsburg Manager Markus Weinzeiri has been reserved to the fact that he will be losing his highly rated young left back Baba Rahman to Chelsea and wants the deal to be concluded as soon as possible.

Chelsea are close to signing the 21-year old Ghana International for £25 million and are still negotiating the deal. Rahman was left out of his side’s recent friendly versus Toulouse and is keen to make his dream move official.

That’s it for now Blues but don’t forget to follow my Twitter here for the very latest Chelsea news @cfcneteditor
