Good evening Blues and welcome to Tuesday evenings transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer.

We start proceedings with noise regarding Paul Pogba once again… well, it’s been at least a week since we’ve heard his name, it’s high time we talk about him again right?

Well, this is nothing more than the press grabbing at straws here. Juventus Director Giuseppe Marotta has basically said that he is powerless to stop Pogba leaving his club, just like with Carlos Tevez.

So of course that means that Chelsea are moving back in for the French midfielder, according to some UK press sources. Unfortunately however, nobody is providing any evidence at all that Chelsea are going to try and sign Pogba, so for now this one is just gathering dust for me. I would never rule it out, we have all been shocked before and it won’t be the last time, but I’d be surprised if it happened given his high fee and Chelsea’s reluctance to pay high for players anymore.

Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that a third offer for Everton’s John Stones will be going in from Chelsea and expected to move over the £30 million mark, which could finally tempt The Toffees who have already rejected two bids from the Premier League champions. Jose Mourinho is keen to get this deal done during the summer window.

So the big rumour from last night has certainly gathered some solid pace today. The Mirror first reported that Chelsea have asked Tottenham to name their price for left back Danny Rose, and are prepared to offer £15 million for the Englishman.

Initially due to the source not being the best, this was squashed as a mere rumour. However, ESPN have said that their own sources had told them that both Chelsea and Manchester City were interested in Rose back in May. So there could be a little more than what meets the eye on this one, stay tuned… But good luck convincing Levy to sell to Chelsea!

So what would that mean for the apparent arrival of Baba Rahman? Many sources are suggesting that the deal is almost complete and even his club are expecting it to happen. The player certainly wants the move but are Chelsea now getting cold feet and deciding to perhaps move for someone else instead, thinking about the home grown quota rules with Danny Rose in mind? Well, the deal is certainly not complete for Rahman and both players will not be arriving that’s for sure. There could be more twists to this tale with Mourinho looking to get deals sewn up as soon as possible.

The Chelsea Manager has all but ruled out any deadline day drama’s at Stamford Bridge, he told Sky Sports that he doesn’t expect there to be any deals completed on deadline day, thus suggesting he wants to get things wrapped up sooner rather than later. But as I said before, anything can happen, at any time.

Finally, Chelsea are set to announce that young English striker Dom Solanke is joining Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a season long loan. The youngster has already been training with the side in Holland and will be officially unveiled as a player.
