Good morning Blues and welcome to Tuesdays edition of Chelsea Fresh, where we take a look at the latest general news, transfer rumours and anything else in between surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Pedro in action against West Bromwich Albion
Pedro in action against West Bromwich Albion

First of all, Pedro has been speaking whilst on International duty for Spain. The winger claims that it would have been the easy option to stay at Barcelona, but he wanted the challenge of moving to the Premier League. He has also described how he misses his former team mate Lionel Messi saying “Messi is a fantastic team mate, he’s a fantastic guy, we lived through a lot together. I’m going to miss him a lot”.

Whilst other publications are claiming that Pedro cannot find a suitable house to live in London. I’m assuming he is being rather fussy – there are some pretty incredible properties in London! Nothing to fear on our new signing though Blues, Pedro is well up for this challenge and of course has his Spanish team mates with him at Chelsea in the shape of Azpilicueta, Costa and his good friend Fabregas, in case he is feeling a bit home sick…. let’s face it, it’s probably the weather!

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba has spoke regarding Chelsea’s summer pursuit of his services. Talking about the rumours he said “Why would I not stay? I don’t have any motive to go, it wasn’t the right time. It was never clear that I would leave and who says I can’t stay longer? We will see”.

Once again, as I said yesterday – Pogba will ONLY consider joining Chelsea if they are challenging for every honour this season and are a force in Europe. So the ball is very much in Mourinho’s court and his team has plenty to do.

Izzy Brown has revealed the contract of his season long loan at Vitesse – it allows Chelsea to recall the player in January if needs must, or Vitesse to end it in January. Otherwise it will last out for the full year. It does give Chelsea some reassurance of bringing back cover up top should we need it through injuries, a sensible clause to have in the contract and I think that many loans have the same.

Finally – it’s been revealed that Chelsea were one of the top clubs who wanted to buy Manchester United new boy Anthony Martial, when he was just 11-years old! The £36 million man was a sought after product but it was advised that he joined Lyon at the age of 14, due to their impressive academy.

Make of that as you will Blues!
