Good morning Blues and welcome to this new regular feature from CFCnet, titled ‘Chelsea Fresh’. Where we will be taking a look at the latest general club news, transfer rumours and anything else in between.

First up, some transfer news for you. While Chelsea have been tipped to spend big during the January transfer window, Paul Pogba’s agent has apparently said that his client will most likely be joining Chelsea in January.

The Metro have quoted agent Mesrun Izzet talking to publication Turkish Football that Pogba could go to Chelsea when the transfer window opens again, which will then open the door for John Obi Mikel to complete his move to Besiktas – which is looking highly likely now.

Meanwhile, pictures have emerged of a seemingly proud Jose Mourinho showing off his four entries in to the World Guinness Book of Records. Having been entered in to the 2016 version for several managerial achievements.

Mourinho confirmed that he will be hanging on his wall all four awards that cover ‘youngest manager to reach 100 Champions League games’, ‘most points for a PL team winning the title (95 points in 2004/05)’,  ‘fewest goals conceded in the PL (15, in the same season)’ and ‘most unbeaten games at home in the PL (77)’.

A pretty spectacular set of achievements for Mourinho and thus proving his talents once again. He was delighted to feature and said it is something that you dream about as a kid to enter these record books.

Pedro has been speaking to Spanish publication Marca about his move to Chelsea and why he chose them over Manchester United.

Despite saying that he has been unhappy with the treatment of his former team mate Victor Valdes at United, he did say that was not why he chose Chelsea. He confirmed that it was simply a case of Chelsea moving the fastest to land his signature.

I don’t usually like to give this story any attention as I think it is just ridiculous, but as I am reporting news related stories – a quick note on Eva Canerio.

Fellow staff members at the club have confirmed that it is highly unlikely that Eva will return to her post as Club Doctor after reaching four weeks out since the controversial incident involving the treatment of Eden Hazard and leaving Chelsea with 9 men on the pitch.

Like I say, I’ll not be giving my opinions on this, think enough people have already done that. But I hope it get’s resolved either way soon.

That’s it for now Blues, but don’t forget to follow my Twitter here for the latest Chelsea updates @cfcneteditor
