Good afternoon Blues and welcome to Tuesday’s edition of Chelsea Fresh – where we take a look at the latest Chelsea news, transfer rumours and anything else surrounding Stamford Bridge.

With the talk of the Bridge continuing to hover around the future of Manager Jose Mourinho, adding to the already heavy rumours that Chelsea have lined up Atletico’s Diego Simeone as a replacement, there are now reports that Italian Coach Antonio Conte could also be in the pipeline, should Mourinho leave.

According to reports, the current Italy Manager could quit his post at the National side in favour of club football. The 46-year old has apparently instructed his representatives to seek out a new club to manage, with both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain on the challenge list.

Italian publication Gazetta, are the source of this rumour and you have to feel that because of this somewhat reputable source, there could be something in it.

Conte has just lead his Italy side to the Euro’s and previously managed Juventus, Siena and Atlalanta in the Serie A. The Italian had an illustrious playing career at Juventus becoming a firm fans favourite and club captain.

In management he won the Serie A three times with Juventus whilst maintaining a 67% win rate. He prefers to play with two strikers and a number ten and will always use the 3-5-2 formation unless defensive where he will go with a 5-3-2.

Finally for now, Chelsea are set to go head to head with Barcelona for yet another transfer target, Dynamo Kyiv attacker Andriy Yarmolenko, who was watched by a disguised and hooded Jose Mourinho in Ukraine on Monday evening.

The 25-year old Ukraine International is also a target for Arsenal and is on the verge of his big career move. Yarmolenko is a goalscoring attacker and can play anywhere across the attacking three, mainly as a winger. Chelsea will need to battle to land this hot prospect though.
