Good evening Blues and welcome to Monday’s Transfer Centre from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest transfer rumours during this January transfer window.

First up, the Alexandre Pato saga looks set to be coming to its conclusion as the Blues are apparently agreeing a loan deal until the end of the season to capture the services of the Brazilian forward.

The deal will see an option to become permanent from Corinthians at the end of the loan.

Perhaps a sensible move for Chelsea here as there are no strings attached, little finances involved and it is another risky buy.

This will then have a knock on affect once completed and will likely see Loic Remy be allowed to leave his frustrating spell at the club and join Crystal Palace on loan.

Rmy has struggled with any kind of game time at Chelsea and has not looked confident in the recent minutes he has gained.

Finally, as been highly publicised today, Chelsea’s Champions League hero Ramires is set to leave the club in a move to China for around £25 million.

Whilst I am gutted to see him leave, in reality he was never going to be a starter now and perhaps doesn’t have enough to his game to be more than a vital squad player. Thank you for the memories Ramires, he has been a great servant to the Club and scored some important goals.

To me these likely moves all spell out the obvious at Chelsea, the fact the club are unlikely to win the usual amount of price money this season, the investments in to a Stadium rebuild and the fact they are still targeting a £50 million John Stones as a main target, says they are being safer with money.

Finances are not going to be as great as always, unless we can win some honours, most notably the Champions League… Never say never, we did it before against all odds, it CAN happen!

That is it for now Blues but don’t forget to follow my Twiiter here for the latest updates @cfcneteditor
