As Sky Sports break the news of Chelsea’s offer for Portugal International Andre Gomes, reports we are hearing is that Chelsea ARE likely to go back in with an increased offer, bringing in more bonuses and potential sell on rights.
Valencia have rejected the initial offer of around £32 million for their star central midfielder, but it is thought that they will listen to an improved offer and are hanging out for a larger fee due to some of the fee needing to go to former Club Benfica as part of a sell on clause.
The 22-year old has impressed in both the Portuguese and Spanish Leagues and has nailed down his spot in the International side, featuring the majority of Portugal’s opening Euro 2016 game against Iceland on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Graziano Pelle is a genuine transfer target for Chelsea, according to bookmakers Bestars, who claim that the chance to carry on working with his National Team Manager Antonio Conte, is the main appeal for Pelle to join Chelsea. The bookies are ‘calling it, expect to see Pelle at Stamford Bridge next season’ as they put it.
There could be substance to this, its not the first time the player has been linked with Chelsea and of course Conte clearly shows his faith in the striker with him being the main choice up top for his Italian side, who have got off to a flying start at the Euro’s beating favourites Belgium 2-0.
