Chelsea winger Pedro has confirmed his desire to move back to Barcelona, and is apparently in talks with his former Club in a bizarre move taking him back to La Liga. The Spanish International had a generally poor season with Chelsea after moving to the club off the back becoming out of favour at Barcelona.
The news has received mixed reactions from the Catalan faithful with many finding it hard to believe that the winger seems happy to go back and warm the bench at Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Chelsea will need to pay £47 million if they are to secure the services of Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus. Antonio Conte has obviously worked with the defender at club and International level and is keen to take him with him to Chelsea.
The 29-year old would be considered as an immediate solution to take over the role at the spine of the team from John Terry, who will undoubtedly be leaving at the end of next season. But the large fee could well put off any pursuit from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich who may prefer to invest in a younger defender.
Finally, according to the same above publication, Chelsea have been told by Alvaro Morata’s representatives that the player is demanding £6 million a year from any club willing to take on his services. His former Club Real Madrid will activate his buy back clause of £23 million and then sell him on to the highest bidder, with Arsenal also showing keen interest in the Spain International.
