Andrea Belotti will be a perfect man to replace Costa
After the famous Diego Costa text message gaffe, Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has set his sights on a number of options to replace the 28-year-old Spaniard, who is angling for a move back to Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea signed Costa in the summer of 2014 under Jose Mourinho and he has had a great impact at Stamford Bridge, helping the club to 2 league titles in 3 seasons.
However, things reached its heights last season as the player openly and publicly humiliated this club following a January transfer offer from Chinese club, Tianjian Quanjian. The club offered him a mammoth £500k-a-week deal, and it is believed the relationship between player and manager was so bad, but they shelved aside any differences to steer the Blues to the title.
Romelu Lukaku has been signed by Manchester United in what was a shock to the hierarchy at Chelsea. The 6-time English champions had been frontrunners to sign their former player, but have been gazumped to his signing after United acted decisively to sign him.
Conte is reportedly furious with how the 24 year old Belgian was overlooked, and is looking at a number of targets. Real Madrid forward, Alvaro Morata, and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are players that have been rumored to move to Stamford Bridge but now looks the perfect man is Andrea Belotti 10/1 to leave Torino to Chelsea.
The Italian striker, who is just 23, has earned admirers in Europe with his workaholic performances and he scored 27 Serie A goals last season, but his release clause of close to £88m is putting the Blues off.
However, Chelsea have the chance to make a statement signing with Belotti despite him enjoying just one year as a top level forward. He can score with his head, left leg and right leg and is a fierce competition, traits similar with Costa just minus the age and disciplinary issues.
Belotti is a striker keen to develop and knows that a chance to work with compatriot, Conte may be too much to ignore, and will be an immediate hit. The physicality of the English League game won’t faze him, and his ability to score all sorts of goals coupled with his remarkable finishing and movement makes him a striker that can guarantee 30 goals every season. Chelsea must not miss another trick.
