Alvaro Morata has insisted that he can perform much better for Chelsea despite his already excellent start to the season (via The Standard).

It has been a pleasing week for Chelsea FC. After the disappointment of drawing with Arsenal last Thursday, the Blues followed it up with a 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup and a 4-0 win over Stoke in the Premier League.

Alvaro Morata bagged a hat-trick on Saturday to cap an excellent start to his Chelsea career. However, the Spaniard has claimed that there is still more to come from him after his £58 million move from Real Madrid.

“I am happy with my start in the Premier League but I can do better,” Morata said.

“I had two chances at the end of the game against Stoke (but didn’t take them). I also need to improve my physical condition to be as good as possible.”

Antonio Conte’s men now face a tough few days with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday before they welcome Manchester City to the Bridge on Sunday.

“It’s a very important week before the international break and we need to give our best for these two matches,” Morata continued. “We have a Champions League match now and we have to keep working.”

The Spaniard has somewhat surpassed expectations with his start to the Premier League campaign. Alvaro Morata is joint-top of the Premier League’s top scorers charts this season with six. Let’s hope he can carry his form from the weekend over into this tricky run of fixtures.
