Striker Alvaro Morata has claimed that Eden Hazard is one of the top three players on the planet after the winger has returned from injury (via The Telegraph).

It’s always something which gets football fans talking. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are clearly the best two players on the planet but who comes next?

There is a lengthy list including the likes of Neymar, Luis Suarez, Paulo Dybala, Sergio Aguero and Antoine Griezmann but one Chelsea player thinks Eden Hazard is above them all.

Alvaro Morata has insisted that Hazard is in the top three players on the planet, alongside Messi and Ronaldo.

“It’s not difficult playing with this kind of player,” Morata claimed.

“He’s one of the three best players in the world. It’s easy for me playing with him.”

Morata played with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid but had a slightly more peripheral role at the Spanish side. Since joining Chelsea in the summer, he has been the number one choice up front.

“It’s the most important thing,” Morata went on. “I came to Chelsea because one club and one coach believed in me. Now I have all of these things and I’m very happy.

“The first official match I made a mistake and I suffered for a few days. The people don’t see the situation, but I grew up, showed my character and now the things are okay and we hope to continue like this.

“The Premier League is the most competitive league in the world. It’s physical and it’s the league with the most teams who can win the title. Strong teams. But we’re very happy because we’re fighting for the Premier League too.”

Morata has certainly impressed during his first few weeks at the club and if Wednesday’s win over Atletico Madrid is anything to go by then he could link up well with Eden Hazard. The Blues face another big test on Saturday with the match against Manchester City.
