Reports via talkSPORT today are suggesting that Chelsea are far from done when it comes to their top summer transfer target Alex Sandro.

The news comes amid speculation that the Brazilian left-back is set to sign a new contract offer with Juventus, however Chelsea are hoping that Sandro will hold off on a new deal so they can make an improved bid in the January transfer window.

Juventus’ new contract offer is said to be worth around £4.5m a-year and will see Sandro commit to the Italian champions until 2022. It would appear that if Chelsea are to appease any frustrations Antonio Conte has with transfer targets, then Sandro could be key to whether or not the Italian remains at the Blues beyond this season.

The transfer talk has come via Italian news source Corriere dello Sport which is emphasising that Chelsea are by no means done in their pursuit of the left-back who they view as competition to Marcos Alonso.

Conte’s Blues will likely have to offer a bid of around £60m (and upwards) in January to get Juventus to talk.
