Chelsea U23 2:2 Derby County U23
Kurt Zouma made huge strides back to fitness tonight as goals from Jay Dasilva and Ike Ugbo were only enough for a draw.
Dasilva was dismissed for a second yellow after 70-minutes but we still made chances to score a winner.
The real success though saw Zouma last the match without incident.

Wednesday 26 October
West Ham United 2:1 Chelsea
Well, it was only the league cup and it took a brilliant header to open the scoring. With that said we created and squandered so many decent chances it seems absurd to say that our first visit to the Olympic stadium ended in defeat.
All the media wanted to talk about was the slight pushing and shoving at the final whistle. As the ’Ammers talk about issuing banning orders perhaps they should reflect on the fact that this has happened at every match they’ve held at the cursed venue and the fault lies not with the fans involved but the organisers who thought a few dozen ill-trained work experience kids would be enough stewarding for an almost unsegregated away end.
That away fans had to walk past home fans to get out is risible in itself but that police cannot operate inside the ground because their radios will not work is ridiculous.
It comes back to the original commissioners of the stadium who didn’t plan for its use as a football ground after the Olympics so left it without executive boxes or catering facilities. The reason it cost so much and took so long to convert it for West Ham’s use can be put squarely at the door of the organisers headed by Sebastian Coe. While he is one of our own you have to say he made a real dog’s breakfast, lunch and dinner out of the Olympics.
On the pitch we deserved better but only had Gary Cahill’s late header to show for the evening.
Ola Aina and Nathaniel Chalobah will both have gained valuable experience from the evening but apart from a few free plastic seats the rest of us could have done without it.

Away from the League Cup. the next Premier League home game for the Blues is the visit of Everton. Why not see if any Chelsea tickets are available here.

Chelsea U18 2:0 Leicester City U18
Martell Taylor-Crossdale scored two in the second-half to maintain the unbeaten home form that stretches back over 19-months. Sadly our video feed wasn’t working so we cant tell you much else about the game.

Southampton 0:2 Chelsea
We are starting to look very strong as we brush aside a well respected and able Saints side to record a fourth win and clean sheet in a row.
Up into fourth in the table, one behind a trio on 23-points we dominated so easily you could be forgiven for thinking we were serious challengers.
Eden Hazard has been the catalyst for much of our recent form and the young Belgian scooted into the box to give us an early lead and was thorn in Southampton’s side all day.
Diego Costa curled in the second as we conceded nothing but the possession stats to our south coast cousins and left with our manager receiving praise for his new system from pundits and player alike.

Chelsea 3:2 Reading
The women, inspired by two from Eni Aluko, hung on to claim second spot and qualification for the champions league.
It has been a bit of a flat season after securing FA Cup and league double last term but there have been some positive signs from squad and the whole women’s set up is more enthusiastically supported across the club.
