Such were the celebrations in the Fulham Road, it’s taken us a full 36 hours to be in any fit state to turn the CFCnet computer on, let alone write a few words about Sunday. Have a look at this YouTube clip taken by the CFCnet crew in Gate 11, Matthew Harding Lower Tier on Sunday. If Carlsberg did crowd reactions …

As the game kicked-off, the nerves had already transmitted themselves to the players. Wigan started off strongly and in a packed midfield we couldn’t get into our stride. Misplaced passes, poor touches and weak tackling saw the game start off exactly as we feared.

Then, in just a few seconds, the whole game turned on its head. A free-kick outside the box saw the first shot cannon off the Wigan wall. Frank Lampard headed the ball back into the area … Malouda chested it down and … GOOOAAALLLLLL!!!

Make sure you watch the whole clip below:

We could write a book about Sunday. What a season. Our biggest ever win in the top flight; a Premiership record for most goals scored; Didier Drogba getting the Golden Boot; 49 years since any team scored over 100 in a season… goes on and on.

A very big thank you to the staff, management and players at Chelsea who made Sunday one of those days you’ll remember for the rest of your life. And, lastly, for Carlo Ancelotti – you’ve proved us wrong. ‘Forza Carlo’ will therefore be our next banner to be draped over the Matthew Harding Upper Tier.
