Good morning Blues and welcome to Tuesday’s news updates feature from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest news, transfer rumours and anything else surrounding the Stamford Bridge club.

We have some latest transfer news this morning as Chelsea prepare to continue their winning ways in the Champions League this evening.

ESPN are a fairly decent source and it is them who are claiming that Chelsea are ‘confident’ of signing West Brom striker Saido Berahino in January. They say that he will be available for around £25 million and is desperate to join one of the top clubs with interest also coming in from Manchester United. But it is Chelsea who are apparently the most confident in securing the deal for the young England man.

Radamel Falcao is expected to return to Monaco with Chelsea wanting to end the loan early, which will free up space in the squad for a genuine threat to Diego Costa. Loic Remy’s future is also highly in doubt.

Which is perhaps why today’s rumours are all about strikers. Fichajes are claiming that Chelsea are ready to match the asking price of £42.1 million for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

The Borussia Dortmund forward  is 23-years old and is impressing in the Bundesliga. The reports are suggesting that the fee is not putting Chelsea off and the highly rated youngster is near the top of their short list.

Finally, a familiar name that could have a likely substance behind the constant links between him and a move to Chelsea is Atletico striker Antoine Griezmann.

Calciomercato are the latest reputable publication to be suggesting the move will happen as they say Chelsea and Manchester City are set to battle it out for his signature, set to be around £30 million.

The 24-year old Frenchman is one of the best around and in excellent current form, Chelsea want him to provide extra flair, creativity and goals to their attack and he still remains their number one target.
